In the SKRFF project, Corrie Francis Parks and Daniel Nuderscher combine manual interventions in urban space with cinematic abstraction. The collaboration is based on the interplay of their different artistic backgrounds and working methods. While Parks works with physical and digital manipulation of materials in frame by frame animation, Nuderscher brings in a photographic practice that serves as a visual basis and documentary source material. In this way, they create multi-layered, colourful visual worlds that are brought to life with the help of animation. As self-proclaimed SKRFFOLOGISTS, Parks and Nuderscher see their graffiti wall as an archive of urban history and as material that can be given a new level of meaning through joint processing and transformation.
In addition to co-directors Corrie Francis Parks and Daniel Nuderscher, Thom Parks (animation and production) and Sandro Nicolussi (sound) are also involved in the SKRFF project.
