BACKGROUND
Fairouz Nouri is a curator and cultural practitioner from Tunisia whose work focuses on making contemporary art accessible beyond institutional spaces. Her curatorial practice engages strongly with public space, interdisciplinary formats, and international collaboration, with a particular interest in how art can create shared sensory, social, and critical experiences.
In recent years, her work has increasingly centered on questions of gender balance, inclusivity, and visibility within cultural production, both through the artists she collaborates with and the frameworks she develops. Moving between research, writing, and exhibition-making, she situates curating as a tool for care, and structural change, particularly within contexts marked by geographical, political, and cultural asymmetries.
