The artistic practice of RaumZeitPiraten (Tobias Daemgen, Jan Ehlen, Moritz Ellerich) unfolds at the intersection of media archaeology, experimental technology, and environmental interaction. Their installations explore questions of agency, perception, and material autonomy. Through self-sufficient media sculptures that operate as sensitive, responsive systems, RaumZeitPiraten challenge anthropocentric notions and invite viewers to encounter media as processes embedded in space and time.
RaumZeitPiraten was founded in 2007 by Tobias Daemgen. In 2007 Moritz Ellerich joined to the group. Jan Ehlen has been in cooperation with RaumZeitPiraten since 2011.
